Real job and work placement opportunities
ELECT will match you to the right job for your needs. Our friendly and experienced team of Employment Coaches will work with you to identify vacancies and work placements that are right for you.
£50 to get you started
When you start your new job ELECT will pay £50 into your bank account to cover any initial costs
One to one coaching
Employment Coaches that understand your needs will be on hand to provide one to one coaching and support ensuring you secure the job you want what ever your circumstances. We will support you to complete an up-to-date CV, job applications and to prepare for interviews.
Flexible skills training
We can help you update your skills or learn new ones, increasing the range of jobs you can apply for. ELECT has a wide range of accessible courses and activities aimed at improving your chances of getting a job. Courses and activities are delivered flexibly in order to meet your needs and typically include:
- CV's, Application Forms & Interview Skills
- Job Search Skills
- Customer Service
- Problem Solving
- Conflict Resolution
- Time Management & Travel Planning
- Confidence Building and Motivation

Help with travel and child/dependent care
At ELECT we recognise that caring responsibilities and transport problems are two of the most common barriers to employment. We can put you in touch with local childcare organisations and may even be able to help with child care costs depending on your circumstances. We will also provide you with a travel plan to help you get to your new job/work placement and may even be able to help with travel costs or offer an alternative transport solution.
Job Search support
Our staff know and understand the local job market and work closely with a wide range of employers to ensure that you will be the first to know of vacancies that fit your needs. We can provide you with access to the internet and the latest publications for job searching, information on in-work benefits and IT facilities and support to complete those all important application
